1 Peter 3:15 instructs us to “Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
The word “Apologetics” comes from Greek and translates “speaking in defense.” Biblical
apologetics is a systematic defense of TRUTH. The practice of apologetics is necessary in order to be able to “defend” the gospel. Fewer than 9% of all Americans who consider themselves Christians actually possess a Biblical worldview according to the latest Barna study. The primary goal of this class is to give students the tools and resources they need in order to develop and defend a Biblical Worldview.
This class is designed to tackle many of the difficult hot button topics of our day including
abortion, euthanasia, human sexuality, western dating, evolution, secular humanism,
Marxism, Critical Race Theory, feminism, medical ethics, government, education and more
through the lens of a Biblical framework and prepare students to influence the culture boldly
but with gentleness and respect.
Our hope is that on the other side of this class, students will be able to contend confidently as
they engage in the Truth War that is the reality of modern culture.
All parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in. One of the goals of this class is to come
alongside parents as we seek to educate our children in the fear and admonition of the
LORD—never to sidestep or bypass your presence, authority, or ultimate role as parent and
THE one(s) who will answer to God for the spiritual stewardship of your children.
All resources and video/DVD content will be provided. All of the books are RECOMMENDED
reading material for students, NOT mandatory. (A Bible is the only MANDATORY book
required for this class. The other books are simply supplemental/suggestions and may be
helpful for parents who want to give their students an elective high school credit for Biblical
Worldview.
PLEASE NOTE: This class will be interactive, full of conversation, question, and debate. The
purpose is to equip our students to PRACTICE apologetics. There will only be one written
assignment for the duration of each 13 week semesters. Our hope is to challenge and equip
our students to be able to answer real world questions and prepare them to give a ready
answer (defense) for the hope they have. (1 Peter 3:15)

(*1 High School Civics/US Government credit)
The Constitution is the cornerstone for American freedoms. Many would argue that it
was badly damaged during the “Covid” Authoritarianism of the last three years.
Americans were very quick to surrender their freedom on the altar of compliance.
Much like Biblical illiteracy, Constitutional illiteracy is at an all time high. Equipping the
next generation to understand the weight and importance of this unique document is
key to restoring the foundations.
As a class, we will be working through Michael Farris’ 25 part DVD series. Lectures
will cover the Constitution’s creation, the powers it grants, the second amendment,
due process, international law, commerce and general welfare clauses, abortion
“rights”, “Homosexual” rights and much more.
REQUIRED CURRICULUM (Purchased/provided by parents)
Constitutional Literacy Workbook, Farris (Apologia 2014) $26.40

As Christians, we know that God and His Word are unchanging. God is forever faithful and His Word is forever true.
What does change is the culture around us. This class lays the foundation for seeking truth in all aspects of life, with the goal of helping
younger students see that everything we find in the world around us aligns with the worldview presented in Scripture.
Each lesson involves a lot of body movement and repetition, designed to meet younger students where they are developmentally while stretching them (think Worldview meets Physical Education!) to think through foundational worldview truths.
This class is one of the first essential building blocks in laying the foundation our children need to understand and live out the truth, goodness, and beauty of the Christian worldview.
We will cover the foundations of Truth, God, Life, Humans, and Morality througout the 2
semesters of this class. And we will have FUN doing it!
If you would like to check out the curriculum/online content we will be using as a
guide/foundation, click HERE.
FHRC Life Skills will focus on hands on learning for visual, auditory, and tactile young
learners! This class will be an opportunity to practice real life skills in a group setting. All
materials and lesson plan overviews will be provided. However, this class will be taught co-op
style and will require parents to help their students/volunteer to facilitate! Whether you sign up
to help teach or simply assist/clean-up, parent participation is mandatory. Below are just
some of the skills we will practice as a class. *Chick incubation will be scheduled for spring
semester (2024).
