Foundations Homeschool Resource Center

Who we are

”If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Psalm 11:3

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." -Deuteronomy 6:4-7

“ Education is discipleship. Its sole purpose is the development of virtue. " - Heidi St. John

Foundations Homeschool Resource Center, founded by two veteran home school families, is Christ centered, dedicated to supporting homeschool families as they seek to educate children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, and located at 106 West Railroad Street in Selma, North Carolina 27576.

FHRC exists to equip and connect homeschooling families with the encouragement and resources they need to thrive in their homeschooling journey. We accomplish this in a number of ways! For students, we offer supplemental enrichment classes, workshops, and a Lending Library. For parents, we offer practical guidance, curriculum assistance, workshops, a Lending Library, and fellowship.

FHRC is what we hope to become a flagship homeschool resource model for all 100 counties across North Carolina. We believe that creating a vibrant Christ-centered alternative to public education is an essential part of “restoring the foundations” and reclaiming the worldview of generations of American children. At FHRC, we believe that education is not the mastery of academia but the process of discipleship. Its sole purpose is the development of virtue. FHRC is a sacred place where academia will be studied with excellence, but the purpose of education is not lost.

Our Lending Library contains only classical and Christian literature and curricula, and every supplemental enrichment class and workshop will be taught through the lens of a biblical worldview.
